These are a few chapters about my life and what got me to where I am today…

Formative Years
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a majority of my family members live to this day. My family consists of my parents and my older sister. We immigrated to the United States in May, 1999 along with my uncle. My early years helped shape the way I approach problem-solving, adaptability, and long-term thinking. Growing up in a dynamic environment taught me how to navigate change, communicate across perspectives, and stay grounded in the fundamentals — lessons that continue to influence both my personal and professional life today.
Those formative experiences laid the foundation for my curiosity around systems, structure, and how people interact with technology and information.
Pursuing my Education
I made the life-altering decision to return to college in my mid-20’s. Education has been a deliberate and ongoing pursuit for me. Despite a near decade absence from college, I’ve always continuously expanded my knowledge in topics of interest. Software, systems, and business intersect.
Applying concepts I learn in the software development program to real-world scenarios has been rewarding. Each project and course has reinforced the importance of structure, adaptability, and thoughtful execution, principles I carry into every professional endeavor.

Finding My Partner in Life
An important part of my journey has been finding a partner who believes in long-term growth, mutual support, and shared responsibility. Throughout my academic pursuits, my fiancé has worked diligently to support our household, allowing me the space and stability to focus on my education and professional development.
Our path forward is intentionally reciprocal. In Fall 2026, she will have the opportunity to return to school, and I’ll step into the role of primary provider — a transition we’ve planned together with trust, patience, and a shared commitment to each other’s goals. This partnership is a constant reminder that meaningful progress is rarely achieved alone.
Current Chapter
Today, I’m based in Spokane, WA, balancing academic growth, professional development, and hands-on project work. I’m currently working at ‘Paper Plane Consulting LLC’ as a Business Development Specialist but will slowly begin to transition into a Software Developer role. I’ve already applied my software engineering skills on a few projects and will continue to do so as I begin a new internship project February, 2026.
Whether I’m working on technical projects, collaborating with teams, or exploring new ideas, I prioritize clarity, thoughtful execution, and continuous improvement.
